Faridabad, 5th June, 2017: The Haryana State Youth Basketball Championship Faridabad was held at DPS, Faridabad, from the 3rd to the 5th of June. Games were held only early in the morning and late in the evening so that the athletes could perform at their best. The officials and players were also provided the best of facilities whilst they were at the event. The main event was supplemented by a 3-point shooting contest that was held on the 4th of June, which was an initiative of Prakrida. Interestingly, the 3-point contest was also open to officials. Prizes for events were trophies and individual awards. Basketballs were also given to the players who participated in the tournament.
Hisar won both the boys and the girls category quite handily. In doing so they complete a back-to-back championship run, having both the categories at the previous iteration of the Haryana State Youth Basketball Championship.
