Nashik, Maharashtra: In a welcome move to promote basketball activities in India’s smaller towns and villages, the Sarvadnya Foundation in asssociation with the United Services Gymkhana is proud to announce a U13 Boys and U14 Girls Basketball Championship on 17th and 18th October 2015.

As shared by the organisers, here are some of the key features of this tournament:

  • This is the first time ever in the history of Nashik District that cash prizes are being awarded to the lower age groups.
  • Cash Prizes of upto Rs 20,000/- is being allotted along with trophies and medals to the winning teams.
  • “Best Player” Trophy and Medals will be awarded for every match from the quarterfinals stage onwards for both boys and girls.
  • This tournament is an effort to develop sports in the rural areas as a recognition of the fact that several National and state level players are from rural areas.
  • This will inspire the young generation to dream big and work hard to reach their destination.
