Indore, November 21, 2014: Women’s team from Renaissance played two matches back to back and won both on Day 18 in the Indian College Basketball League (ICBL) organized Basketball Federation of India and Madhya Pradesh Basketball Association in collaboration with IMG Reliance (IMG-R) at Swami Vivekananda College and S.D. Bansal College in Indore on Friday.
Playing Acropolis 2 first, the Renaissance took revenge for their loss on Thursday against the same team. They beat them 28-24 in the first fixture of women’s category. Immediately after the win they played their next match and continued from where they had left beating Prestige Engineering, who lost their second match in two days, 19-14.
In other games in the women’s category, St. Paul’s got the better of Acropolis Institute – 1 18-15 followed by Gujarat College’s 25-23 win over SIMS College. IIST beat Sri Vaishnav 17-14 in the last fixture of the day in the women’s category played at S.D. Bansal College.
Men’s matches were played at Swami Vivekanand College where Renaissance lost to Prestige 21-28 followed by Indore Institute of Law’s 39-32 win over UTD.
