Pune, November 18, 2014: Boys team from Mahesh Vidhyalaya and girls team from DAV School won thrillers to seal their spots in the finals of the Challengers League of Indian School Basketball League, organized by Basketball Federation of India (BFI) in collaboration with IMG Reliance (IMG-R) at Millennium School here on Tuesday.
Mahesh Vidhyalaya survived the see-saw semifinal encounter against Delhi Public School by 46-42. Pratik Ubhe’s 23 points gave the winners a place in the finals against Kamal Nayan Bajaj School which beat Gurunanak PS in the first semifinals by 53-45.
In the girls category, fortune favoured DAV as they beat Abhinava English Medium by a wafer-thin margin of 39-38 in the second semifinal. Earlier Sardar Dastur Co-Ed, who will meet DAV in the finals, beat Kamal Nayan Bajaj 42-28 in a one sided contest.

Girls: Sardar Dastur (Faiziya Sayed 25) beat Kamal Nayan Bajaj (Aswetha Shinde 12) 42-28; Abhinava English Medium (Pallavi Pranik 12) lost to DAV (Unnati Giri 11) 38-39
