- HPS, Begumpet lost at home to Future Kids on Day 4
Hyderabad, October 24, 2014: Johnson Grammar’s nightmare continued on Day 4 of the Premier League of the Indian School Basketball League organized by the Basketball Federation of India (BFI) in collaboration with IMG-Reliance (IMG-R) at HPS, Begumpet and Indus US on Friday.
Johnson Grammar’s boys team ended with a third loss in as many matches when Indus US, playing at their home, beat them 43-26. In another match at the same venue, Delhi Public School registered their first win against St. Andrews School, which also hasn’t won a match in their fourth appearance till date. In a closely fought contest, Delhi PS got the better of St. Andrews boys by 42-37.
In the girls category, Oakridge International beat St. Pious 34-14. This was Oakridge’s third win in as many matches topping the Pool B. In the second match, Nasr School handed St. Joseph’s High School their fourth loss with a 26-6 scoreline.
Meanwhile at HPS Begumpet, Future Kids stunned the home side 53-47 thanks to Kunal scoring 16 points for the winning side. In the closest match of the day, Chirec PS survived a cliffhanger against DRS International. The match ended in favour of Chirec with a scoreline of 39-37. Immediately the girls team from Chirec PS entered the court and registered a comfortable win against St. Anthony by 21-8.

Boys: HPS Begumpet (Prateik 19) lost to Future Kids (Kunal 16) 47-53; Chirec School (Vishnu 18) beat DRS International (Vikas Reddy 11) 39-37
Girls: Chirec PS (Sabreen 8) beat St. Anthony’s (Sakshi 4) 21-8; Holy Family (Shailaja 8) lost to St. Francis (Rachana Silvari 19) 26-35
