Raipur, October 21, 2014: Girls team from Digvijay College, Rajnandgaon sealed their semifinal berth on Day Five of the Challenger League of Indian College Basketball League (ICBL) organized by Basketball Federation of India (BFI) in collaboration with IMG-Reliance (IMG-R) in Hyderabad on Monday. They beat Devendra Nagar Girls College 14-4 to seal the spot in last four at the Shri Balaji Vidya Mandir in Raipur.
In the second match in girls category, Mahant College got the better of Durga College by 18-10 thanks to Dipali’s 11 points. With that win, Mahant College girls team have virtually sealed a semi-final berth. They play Government Girls College on October 22. The winner of this match will face Swarupanand College in 1st semis and loser faces Digvijay College in the 2nd semi-final.
Meanwhile in the boys category, NIT Raipur beat Rungta College, Bhilai 20-10 in the first fixture. Chintamani’s 10 points ensured Vipra College got the better of Pragati College in a one sided affair ending at 17-5. And the last fixture of the day saw Christian College beating boys from Digvijay College 23-11.
