Babykutty, Press Release, Koratty: Kozhikode boys and Thiruvananthapuram Girls bagged titles as they beat Ernakulum in both sections 66-50 and 56-27 in the finals of the 41st State sub Junior basketball championship at the Little Flower Flood lit Indoor Stadium in Koratty.
In the boys division, 28 points by Abhishek supported by Ankit with 10 points helped Kozhikode to the title. For Ernakulum, John Paul was the op scorer with 10 points.

In the girls division, it was again a scintillating performance from Srekala R of St Gorethy HSS Nalanchira who contributed another 27 points for Thiruvananthapuram to take the crown, and for Ernakulum it was again Danielle Mathewos who came as the top scorer with 10 points
Earlier, in the third position matches clinically precise Idukki boys defeated Thiruvananthapuram 59-47 while speedy Thrissur girls had an easy victory over Kottayam 38-2 to secure the bronze medal.
Best Player awards instituted by Dr John M Chacko went to Abhishek of Kozhikode and Sreekala R from Thiruvananthapuram. PS Viswappan Foundation also contributed certificates and basketballs to the best players from each of the matches.
