Press Release/New Delhi, 5th February 2014: The women from St. Stephen’s College won two in row in the 2013-14 BFI-IMG Reliance College Basketball League this week defeating Kirori Mal College 43-12 and Khalsa College 38-13. Sravanta scored 16 and Neha finished with 11 for St. Stephen’s College in their game against Kirori Mal College. Neha (8 points) was also a top scorer for St. Stephen’s College in their game against Khalsa College.
Also this week, Lady Shri Ram College women downed Jesus and Mary College 36-27, Miranda House College got the better of Khalsa College 30-14, Ramjas College defeated Kirori Mal College 28-21 and Sri Venkateswara College scored a 1 point victory over Lady Shri Ram College (44-43).
In the men’s section matches played on 30th January 2014, Dheeraj Rawat scored 20 and Harish had 16 points as Kirori Mal College beat Shri Ram College of Commerce 54-49. Samarth and Bhupender scored identical 21 points to nudge past Hansraj College with a 57-54 win. Sri Venkateswara College downed Zakir Husain College 51-37 and Ramjas College beat Motilal Nehru College 46-43.
