Babykutty/Press Release: Jammu and Kashmir was the first team to qualify for the quarter finals from Group E as it completed its two league engagements undefeated after beating ITBP 50-32 earlier this evening. Defending champions Punjab Police too registered their second straight victory in Group A as they drubbed Uttar Pradesh 67-22 on the second day of the 62nd All India Police Games (Basketball) underway at Thrissur, Kerala.

In other group matches, Karnataka beat Tamil Nadu 70-47, Maharashtra beat Jharkhand 64-35, Himachal Pradesh got the better of Railway Protection Force 52-15, Odhissa beat Rajasthan 53-26 and Bihar defeated Chhattisgarh 43-28. Later in the evening, in an exciting match in group D CRPF defeated SSB 46-39 to record its first victory.
