Press Release: The Sahakaranagar Basketball Club will be conducting the 2nd State Level Invitational Basketball Tournament for Men & Women at the Sahakaranagar Basketball Courts, Bangalore from 22nd to 26th January 2014.
The following teams will take part:
Men’s Section: Vijaya Bank, Bharath SU, National Games Village (NGV) Sports Club,Vivekananda Mandya, Kanaka Kolar, PPC, Beagles, Army Service Corps (ASC) & Center, BSNL, JSC, BOSCH, HASC, Corps of Military Police (CMP) & YFBC, Kolar.
Women’s Section: Mounts Club, Jayanagar Sports Club (JSC), Vivek’s Basketball Club, Sports Hostel Mandya, Sports Hostel Mysore, Appaiah Sports Club, Beagles & NGV Sports Club.
In the men’s section around 15 teams will participate and the matches will be played on a knockout basis. In the women’s section, 8 teams will compete on a league cum knockout basis. The final matches will be held on 26.01.2014.
In the men’s section, cash prizes of Rs.30000/- (winners) and Rs.15000/- (runners up) will be distributed. In the women’s section, winners will take home Rs.20000/- and runners up will be awarded Rs.10000/-.
