PRESS RELEASE: It was an action packed Sunday evening at the J.J. Indoor Basketball court during the finals of the PBA- Sam Paul 3 on 3 Basketball Challenge organised by the Professional Basketball Academy in association with Y’s Men International South India Region. A good number of basketball enthusiasts witnessed the tough 3 on 3 Basketball matches. The best final was in the Senior Boys School section where the MCTM Boys defeated Velammal (12-11). In the College girls finals Stella Maris beat St Joseph (12-8).

HRM Ysm C.R. Reghunandan was the Chief guest for the valedictory function. Dr Sam Paul, Managing Trustee, Sam Paul Educational Trust presided over the program and C. Siva Kumar, Managing Partner, Prabha TVS was the guest of honor.

HRM Ysm George Abraham, District Governor of Ys Men International Madras district was also present during the occasion.

Jayasankar Menon, Asian All Star Basketball player and Chief Advisor of PBA thanked the sponsors Toni n Guy, Sam Paul Trust, Prabha TVS and COSCO balls for coming forward to support this unique event.

    Happy to note you have covered the event, but it will be even better if your reporters got the team names right. That should read as Stella MARIS and not Stella Mary’s or Stella Marry’s. Buck up on proof reading and editing.
